Well, at this point, I need to stand up an online store for someone.
This store will not be selling thousands of items. Maybe 200 at most.
Also, it will not have thousands of concurrent users hitting it, so I
don't need a hosting plan fit for amazon.com.

As far as UI customazation you mentioned... Yes, I will most certainly
need to redesign the standard page layout and so forth. Is this not
just matter of redesigning the JSPs?

As I said before, I am not trying to put up "amazon.com", so I am
looking into something cheap like eapps.com with their Tomcat/Virtual
Private Server package. They provide access to MySQL. Would something
like that be enough? Note that I am not asking about server work load.
That, I am not worried about at all. We'll transfer the application to
a different hosting provider once/if this application will start
getting more hits that expected. What I am asking about is what
things/environment has to be provided by the hosting company in order
for this to work. (For example, if total access to a dedicated server
is required, these types of packages would not work with OFBiz. If some
specific database is required or some special access is required and so
on...)

Basically, if the answer is that the only way to deploy a normal, yet
small, online store is to go with those $200-500 hosting solutions, I
know this package is not for us right now.

In fact, OFBiz must be an overkill for this simple online store
application. However, I don't feel like developing it from scratch.
Plus, I'd like to get familair with something more sofisticated for
future projects.

As far as the "Services" section of ofbiz.org, I was a little concerned
that when I clicked on one of the "Premier hosting providers" and
clicked on their hosting icon, I got a 404.

Thanks for all your help,
Yaakov.
