[OFBiz] Users - Leveraging Ecommerce App

Hi All,

I'm looking to (finally) use the ecommerce app as a basis for a my 
client's site, but the look and feel that my client wants is entirely 
different from the sample app. I searched through the wiki and 
documentation looking for the best approach of modifying the look and 
feel of the ecommerce app while maintaining the functionality and 
couldn't find any. Looking at the code is a bit confusing (simply 
because I'm not familiar with the widget component, et al). My 
inclination is to build my UI from scratch (I'm very comfortable with 
Freemarker/JPublish) while trying to figure out what part to the 
ecommerce app (methods, actions, classes, etc) that I need to use the 
functionality.

Can anyone point me to a doc (website, mailing list post, etc) which I 
may have missed that could explain the approach I need/should take in 
order to modify the ecommerce app to my needs. Thanks in advance.
