Also, on that note, as this is not high volume retail, I wonder if the
Order Service (customized to their needs) by itself would do the trick
? They still need to do POS'ey functions like auth a credit card in
real time, but heck, the eCommerce stuff has to as well. Since there's
a lot more typing, per order for them, than say a convienience store,
I'm thinking the web interface would not be to onerous. Then I could
work on the POS at a more leisurely pace ;)
I also have to write an interface to the floral networks (teleflora,
FTD, etc). Really high tech stuff, not :) Flat files and modems :)

Yes, let's keep this going I will check out the XUI stuff. Did a quick
