[OFBiz] Users - Problem building ofbiz..

Hello everyone !

This my first post on this list. My name is Steve, and I would like to
use ofbiz in french on a Debian Sarge box.

I've tried the version 3.0.0 but it lacks lots of translation
unfortunately. So I figured I'd try the development version.

So I downloaded the trunk version using :

svn co http://svn.ofbiz.org/svn/ofbiz/trunk ofbiz


Then I installed ant and tried to build ofbiz with it (just called ant
in the top directory). But it fails with the error :

/var/www/ofbiz/build.xml:125: Could not create task of type: subant.
Common solutions are to use taskdef to declare your task, or, if this is
an optional task, to put the optional.jar in the lib directory of your
ant installation (ANT_HOME).


But as I'm really new to java I don't understand the meaning of this
error. The line in the build.xml file is :

<subant inheritall="false">

and doesn't tell me much about what to do to solve this build problem.

I'm using the Debian package :

j2sdk1.4   1.4.2.01-1  Blackdown Java(TM) 2 SDK, Standard Edition



Any help would be very much appreciated.
